Tsukareta

I'm back.

Actually, I got back to the mainland on Friday, but was busy shooting a job up in Tokyo and only arrived back home on Saturday.

Okinawa was nice. A lot cooler than all the other times I have been there because they have just entered their rainy season so the first half of the trip was dominated by rain and downright cool days. The last half of the trip saw a break in the rain and the sun was out so temperatures got back to normal.

It was a business trip, but I was able to spend each evening with Pat and his family. We went out to eat one evening, but every other night I had the pleasure of eating one of his wifes fabulous dinners accompanied by more than a couple of beers.

On the flight down I was lucky enough to be able to get some photos of Fuji-san. The weather was cooperating with me, and I also had the good fortune to be on the right side of the plane to get the shots. On the flight back to the mainland I also had a window seat on the correct side of the plane, but the entire area of South Eastern Japan was covered by clouds so I was not able to get any additional photos. I may be going back to Okinawea in June or July though, so I'll give it another try on my next round of flights.

Tsukareta. (I'm tired)

I'm not exactly sure why, but travelling, even such a short distance as Okinawa, is enought to make me tired. It's not like I do anything. Just sit on a plane, or sit in an airport, but regardless, I always seem to end each trip in need of a vacation to catch up on my rest. (I guess this is what it feels like to get old...^_^)

But I did manage to catch a little extra sleep yesterday and today was spent mostly relaxing (and mowing my postage stamp sized lawn). I'll be going to bed early tonight, and I think that by tomorrow I should be all caught up and fully rested.

I may be taking a business trip to Washington DC during the week on the 23rd. Not exactly sure yet if it will happen, I should know one way or the other by tomorrow afternoon. So in the event that I do come to DC again, if anyone in the local area wants to go get some beers one evening while I am there, just let me know.

I'll sign off for now, and the next week will see me get back to my regular posting frequency.
