It was exactly five years and one
day ago today, on a cold rainy afternoon, that Sushicam
went "live".
And fitting enough, today was another
unseasonably cold spring day punctuated by brief spats
of rain. It has been so cold in fact that that the sakura
are late this year.
Even though this is somewhat of a
milestone for Sushicam, I don't have much to write about
today. Mostly because as of late I have been a little
too busy to go out and take new photos. This past weekend
I was busy selling photos at a sale on the base where
I work.
But the good news is that I currently
have all of next weekend set aside for taking new pictures.
The late cherry blossoms should be showing themselves
by that time, so it could really work out well for me.
In an attempt to make up for the lack
of text in this update I have included a few extra photos
for you all to enjoy.
I'd like to wrap up this brief entry
by saying this. Thanks to all of you out there who have
been faithful visitors. And welcome to those of you
who have just joined us.
I plan on continuing to provide the
same stream of information for as long as I am fortunate
enough to live and work in this most fascinating of
places.
I'm already starting to kick some
ideas around about summer travel plans: A road trip
around the Izu Peninsula, another trip to Kyoto or maybe
even Kanazawa, The coast line of Mie Prefecture, or
anywhere else that happens to pop into my head. I haven't
quite pinned my plans down yet, I know I will be doing
some traveling this summer...
