Merry Christmas

23 December 2004

I guess that Shutterbug piece really did drive a lot more people here. My daily unique visitors hit a record high today. 2,073.

Welcome to all of you who have just found out about Sushicam. Come on in, take off your shoes (this is Japan after all...) and stay a while. There is plenty to see and also a very lively Forum you can peruse in addition to all the great comments that other visitors leave.

I can't believe how much this site has grown over the past 4 years, and I want to thank everyone who has contributed to that growth in the form of:
- comments
- email
- interesting forum postings (Pachipro, this means you. ^_^)
- intersting links (Heather, this means you ^_^)
- technical help (Seth, this means you ^_^)

(I apologize for those of you who I have left off this list. There are many more of you out there, but I'm already well into my first beer so my memory is kind of spotty at the moment...)

I hope you all enjoy this place as much as I enjoy creating it because I look forward to many more years of the same.

Yesterday a friend of mine showed me a video clip that I just have to share with the rest of you.

I'm not sure where it originally came from, but it is just about the funniest thing I have ever seen. (Timely too since it has a holiday theme.)

Santa video - 2MB .wmv file

As my little christmas gift to all my viewers out there, today I have decided to double the amount of photos normally posted. Usually it is 10 but today I have put 20.

I know it isn't much, just a small thank you to all of you out there who have made this a frequent stop on your internet wanderings.

I hope this holiday season finds you surrounded by friends and family.

And please don't forget to vote. The 2004 Asia Weblog Awards wrap up on 31 December. We are currently still in the lead, but the gap is closing. So if you like what you see here, give us some love and vote (up to once per day).

Sorry for the short entry, but Pat, a friend of mine who lives in Okinawa, sent me a gift pack of beer for the Holidays and I'm going to spend the rest of the evening enjoying it.

Thanks Pat! ^_^
